Cat Tervo is a designer and illustrator who likes to get a little silly with it. She has lived and worked all across the midwest and the south, and currently based in what she affectionately calls “the little apple” (Appleton, Wisconsin).
As a new-in townie to the area, Cat can be frequently found sipping coffee & drawing her cats (Bug & Bear) at the cafe, in the audience of music & comedy shows, swimming and lifting moderately heavy weights at the YMCA, exploring woodland trails and cemeteries, reading at the beautiful new Appleton Library, or at home playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends.
Cat brings her love of adventure, community & storytelling into all aspects of her creative work, resulting in thoughtfully created designs infused with genuine fun.
Cat received her BFA in Illustration from the Columbus College of Art & Design, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors.
She has carefully balanced her creative career between working full-time as a designer, freelance illustrator, and artist. She has worked in-house at Cartoon Network, Her Campus Media, Western Digital. She currently works full-time at Sandisk where she makes social media content, designs merchandise & apparel for brand events, and creates editorial illustrations for the company blog.
Some of her freelance illustration clients have included Planned Parenthood, Cartoon Network, The McElroy Family, Disability Rights Ohio, Hacienda Beer Co, Good Grit Magazine, Kazoo Magazine, and The Working Families Party.
Cat frequently collaborates with local artists & musicians to create merch & gig posters, and is always open for freelance illustration work in this area.
